As a fan of fashion photography, I notice how a lot of the shoots lack interest. There is no story telling, just simply a model and clothing. They don’t draw in the viewer as much as they should. However, when i came across Kurt Stallaert’s work I thought the complete opposite. Each photo tells a story, having the subject matter not as a mannequin but the storyteller. This is due to everything being considered, the clothes, the model, the make up, the setting and most importantly the idea. When I started going through his portfolio I instantly became a fan, as each shoot composed and beautiful. The colours are experimented with and the dimensions perfect.
